This project challenges the standard definition of comfort. By looking at the subjective perception of comfort, discomfort and the in-between, I looked at how to turn discomfort into a more pleasurable experience, which does not necessarily mean comfort. I explored how to work with the discomfort itself to turn the experience of a stiff chair and disturbing noise into something more pleasurable, without cancelling the discomfort itself. The ideas are proposed in a relatively standard domestic space, Casa Catasus. 1:1 experimental models were used to test and communicate the experiences.
